Charter

The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology was established under Article 38-1 of the Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion Act to efficiently and systematically promote industrial innovations and to support policy development in industrial technology.

2. February.02.2009 Committee formed to establish an R&D support institution
3. January.30.2009 Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion Act proclaimed as part of the national advancement plans (provided the establishment basis for KIAT under Article 38 of the Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion
